The London Stock Exchange Group (LSEG) emerged victorious in the Global vLEI Hackathon, hosted during Chainlink's SmartCon event. Sponsored by chainlink and Swift, the competition showcased innovations in digital organizational identity, with LSEG's winning project integrating credential issuance, smart contract logic, and liquidity verification into a unified framework.

Clearstream secured second place, leveraging vLEI technology to enhance its ClearstreamXact post-trading platform. The hackathon attracted 110 entries from global financial and tech institutions, underscoring the growing importance of verifiable identity solutions in blockchain-based finance.
